Bet you can’t guess what it’s made of. Titanium, the 22nd element on the periodic table, was chosen because they wanted to make their 22 LR silencer out of titanium. It just seemed like the right choice. Titanium has been used in the SR71 Blackbird and for knee replacements. The design goals were to create a simple, easy-to-use, quick-to-clean, lightweight, compact, and quiet 22 suppressor with almost no first-round pop and at the lowest possible cost. The rear mount of the titanium is threaded 1/2×28 and is semi-permanently installed. This means it won’t accidentally come off when attaching or removing the suppressor, but it can be taken off by Otter Creek Labs if needed.
