The DR920P is a full sized, 17+1 pistol with an integrated compensator built into the barrel. The built-in compensator does not make use of a threaded barrel, making the DR920P compliant in many jurisdictions that have threaded-barrel-bans. The DR920P’s comp and slide are machined to give a single-piece appearance, while the novel design allows for rapid removal and attachment of the comp for cleaning. The patent-pending integrated compensator aligns automatically without the need for set screws or other friction devices. The DR920P’s front sight is mounted directly on top of the comp, for faster shot-to-shot tracking. The DR920P, which fits G34 holsters, comes complete with features customers have come to expect from Shadow Systems, including an aggressively textured frame with interchangeable backstraps that adjust the point of aim, an extended beavertail, and a textured recoil control ledge. The drop-safe and carry-safe flat faced trigger has a 4.5-5 lbs pull weight with a crisp, tactile reset. The match-grade, spiral-fluted barrel features the patent-pending comp attachment system, which utilizes an easy-to-detach pin system to mount the compensator. The DR920P Elite model features directional slide serrations in front, rear and topside locations, as well as a weight-optimizing window cut on the side. The slide top is milled with a multi-footprint optic cut to accomodate most optics. A green tritium front sight is mounted directly on the built-in compensator and is paired with a blacked out serrated rear sight.
